Academic Divisions:
Introduction:
The School of Music and Dance prepares students for careers as professional
performers, creative artists and educators. The school is a member of
the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Association of
Schools of Dance; entrance and graduation requirements meet the published
standards of the associations.
Admissions Requirements:
Entrance examinations in musicianship and performance are required.
Students must audition for placement in music and dance technique courses.
Admission to all Bachelor of Music programs requires a formal application
process, including an audition. In general, students should have at least five
years of experience before they enter a music or dance major.
