Gerontology is a unit within The Arizona Center on Aging at The University of Arizona. As part of the Interdisciplinary Degree Programs, Gerontology is designed not only to offer its own degree programs, but also is designed to supplement the curriculum in other fields. Gerontology students often are working professionals.  To help them reach their educational goals the program offers many of its courses after hours through the UA Extended University's Evening and Weekend Campus.
